🔹 Tip #1: Use Ctrl + Shift + T to Reopen Closed Tabs

Did you accidentally close a browser tab? Don’t worry! Press
➡️ Ctrl + Shift + T (Windows)
➡️ Cmd + Shift + T (Mac)
It will reopen the last closed tab. You can repeat the shortcut to go back through your tab history.


🔹 Tip #2: Snipping Tool / Snip & Sketch for Fast Screenshots

Need to capture something on screen?

  • Press Windows + Shift + S to open the screenshot tool.
  • Drag to select the area, and the image is copied to your clipboard.
  • Paste it in any app using Ctrl + V.

Great for making quick notes, sharing errors, or saving visuals.


🔹 Tip #3: Task Manager Shortcut

When your system freezes or gets slow:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager instantly.
  • You can end unresponsive programs or monitor performance from here.

This is a faster alternative to Ctrl + Alt + Delete.


🔹 Tip #4: Use ALT + TAB to Switch Between Windows Quickly

Multitasking made easy:

  • Hold ALT and press TAB to switch between open programs or browser windows.
  • Perfect for fast task switching while working or attending online classes.

🔹 Tip #5: Find Files Faster with Windows Search Operators

Searching for a file? Use keywords like:

  • type:pdf – to search only PDF files.
  • modified:last week – to find recently edited files.
  • name:invoice – to look for files with “invoice” in their names.

This saves time when your folders are messy.


🔹 Tip #6: Avoid Auto-Downloads in Chrome

To stop Chrome from auto-downloading files:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Additional Permissions > Automatic Downloads
  • Toggle the setting to ask before downloading multiple files.

Helps protect from unwanted files or malware.


🔹 Tip #7: Keep Your Desktop Clean with “Fences”

A cluttered desktop slows you down. Try tools like:

  • Fences by Stardock (paid) to organize icons into resizable groups.
  • Or use folders and labels to categorize files like: Work, Personal, Downloads, etc.

Clean workspace = clear mind.


🔹 Tip #8: Windows Clipboard History

Did you know Windows saves multiple copied items?

  • Press Windows + V to open clipboard history.
  • Paste any of the last few copied items.

To enable it:
Settings > System > Clipboard > Clipboard History


🔹 Tip #9: Use Night Light Mode

Working late? Turn on Night Light to reduce eye strain.

  • Windows: Go to Settings > Display > Night light
  • Mac: Use Night Shift from System Preferences.

It reduces blue light and helps you sleep better after screen time.


🔹 Tip #10: Create Keyboard Shortcuts for Any App

You can make your own shortcut to open any program.

  1. Right-click the app → Properties
  2. Go to the Shortcut tab
  3. Click the Shortcut key box and press your key combo (e.g., Ctrl + Alt + C)
  4. Click Apply → OK
