Delhi Chandni Chowk or Chandani Chowk is one of the oldest surviving market places in the Indian capital. Today it is in the older parts of the city. Chandni Chowk Delhi would be the perfect place to go bargain hunting because these are not large malls. Instead, small shops allow people to bargain and get deals that are almost 40 to 50 percent the quoted price.

Larger shopping malls may offer the same products adding the cost of overheads to it and thereby making such things expensive.  Chandni Chowk in Delhi is, therefore, a place that is for people who enjoy shopping. A visit to the Chandni Chowk market is best added as the last place to visit in any tourist’s itinerary as it can take up a lot of time, leaving no time for anything else.

Few people know much about Chandni chowk, which is actually a historic place. It is a market place built at the best of Emperor Shah Jahan in late 1600s. As an evidence of his love for architecture, the place did have fountains and well-designed roads, many of which have been obliterated because of the increase in traffic out here. Chandni Chowk is located near Jama Masjid, and Red Fort, so all three places can be visited on the same day.
