Palampur Himachal is a small hill station in the mountains of North India. It is within the Kangra valley, which is known for its picturesque surroundings and exotic flora and fauna. Snow laden Dhauladhar mountains and lush green tea gardens and orchards of Palampur make this place worth visiting.

There are pine forests as well as is common in these parts of the world. The Baijnath temple here was built in 13th century.  There is Ma Sharada temple also to visit here. A narrow gauge train called Kangra Valley train takes people to and from Palampur offering people a great experience and view of the surroundings.

There is a road linking this small hill station to Pathankot and other cities in the country. There is a central water canal on which small bridges are made for people to cross over.

For many people that is a novel experience. There are hotels for tourists out here because many tourists come to this hill station. People can also find budget hotel in Palampur. However, since the town is very small, it is always better to have prior reservations. HPTDC or Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development authorities offer more information about Palampur and assist tourists with planning their itinerary.
