Darjeeling is home to one of the most beautiful botanical garden in India. Situated below the motor stand market, the national botanical garden of Darjeeling was first established in 1878 by Mr. W. Loyd.
This garden is the home to various rare species of flowers, Himalayan plants, orchids and even more species of flora. This royal botanical garden runs for around 40 acres. It mostly preserves flora which belongs to the native Darjeeling region and the Himalayan region.
