Fatehpur Sikri is now a world heritage site. The buildings survive to this day and exhibit much of the craftsmanship of the era.  Some of the Agra tours offered by Agra tour operators include a trip to Fatehpur Sikri Agra. There are tour operators who offer Delhi to Fatehpur Sikri tours. The township is almost an integral part of Agra so it can be accessed via Agra either by road, airways, or roadways.  Tourists could chose to stay overnight in Agra and visit this heritage site on the following day.

One of the structures worth seeing in Fatehpur Sikri is the Buland Darwaza, which means a strong door. It was built during the reign of Emperor Akbar, so it dates back to 1601. This structure commemorates Gujarat’s defeat in the hands of Akbar. This 35m wide and approximately 54 meters tall structure is made from red sandstone that that is buffed.
